Graduate of the Maryland Inst. College of Art in 1942. She attended the Art Students League and Stanley William Hayter's Atelier 17 after moving to NY in 1943. She had over 100 solo shows in the USA and around the world. Her work is in the permanent collections of numerous museums and corporations. She had been commissioned to do many Art in Public Places pieces and she had received many awards including the keys to 2 cities, AIA award, woman of distinction. She was a Woodrow Wilson visiting Fellow.
