Layering multiple colors of oil encaustic to achieve a radiant red hue, this abstract color-field painting captures the delicate balance of shimmering light. The artwork is installed at the Port Everglades Administration Building and viewing is by appointment only.

"The medium of oil encaustic and the expressionistic brush strokes layer the colors from a limited palette. This technique gives the paintings a luminous quality. As the viewer changes positions or the light of a room changes, so do the paintings. In this sense, the works are alive; they participate in their environment."
