British born artist Trevor Bell painted directly on an unprimed shaped canvas. The fragility of the bleeding colors alludes to luminosity of shifting tones from golden yellow to orange to red to magenta pink, intercepted and balanced by three bands of cool blue-green hue. In this painting, Bell continued to explore the abstract expressionist mannerism.
"As with all my work, movement is a central concern, a wish for the painting to be an active and generative entity, with all forms equally functional, and exchanging with each other, constantly shifting the eye, creating light pulsation, through the interaction of the colors."
