This wall relief combines coral rock with colored bricks to fashion an abstracted geometric composition.  Artist Fran Williams succeeded in integrating her artwork with the surrounding architectural design of the lobby in the Library.  Williams works with hard, nautical substances to harmonize with the materials used by the architects of the building.  She has perfected an abstract mosaic in simplified forms and shades by combining the pocketed layer of coral with the smooth surface of brick.
