FLL Interior Clarification & Design Criteria Project -report cover

The goal for the clarification project at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is to create a positive, memorable design direction that is user friendly and reflects the culture and environment of Broward County. Currently the interiors at FLL have a dated, cluttered and chaotic image. This reflects poorly on the visitor perception of the region.

This report establishes a new interior design direction at the airport based on the theme “fll; portal to a tropical paradise”, which is expressive of the vibrant culture and beauty of Broward County. The clarification plan includes design principles pertaining to all components of interior design. A cohesive architectural vocabulary and durable appealing material selections symbolically reinforce the theme. The design guidelines offer direction to be implemented in future projects.
