Admissions

The admissions unit is comprised of intake caseworkers, financial staff and clinicians who conduct comprehensive assessments and, in conjunction with the client, determine the most appropriate level of care to identify and address each individual’s unique needs.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Broward Addiction Recovery Center (BARC) will be temporarily limiting the hours for Admissions.  Effective Sunday, April 19th, 2020, BARC will be reducing operations from 24/7 to 12 hours per day, 6:00AM-6:00PM. During this temporary measure, clients will be seen by appointment with the last appointment beginning at 4:00PM. Additionally, to allow for enhanced social distancing, the BARC Detoxification unit has converted to single occupancy rooms, which has temporarily reduced our bed capacity from 50 beds to 28 beds.

This difficult but temporary decision is necessary for BARC to be able to continue to provide services in a safe and high-quality manner. As we continue to help fight this tragic pandemic, additional future changes may be necessary. Currently all other services at BARC remain at full operational capacity, with outpatient-based services delivered via SKYPE versus in-person.

To schedule an appointment to be evaluated for Detoxification, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Residential Treatment or Outpatient services, please contact the Admissions Department at 954-357-4851. For more information on BARC's Services, 954-357-4880.

Persons must be 18 years of age or older and proper identification is required for admission.
