Outpatient Services

The Broward Addiction Recovery Center provides a variety of substance use disorder treatment services for adults encompassing a full continuum of care including assessment, detoxification, residential, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and alumni meetings.  As a result, we are equipped to meet the treatment needs of a diverse population. Treatment is provided for substance use disorders along with co-occurring disorders including depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health concerns that may contribute to an individual's substance misuse.

Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP):

Distinguished by the length of the program, frequency of group sessions, and the issues that are addressed. Clients are expected to receive services for six to eight weeks, attend groups at least three times per week, three hours per day, as well as participate in individual counseling sessions to help develop greater skills in emotional regulation and interpersonal relationships.

Outpatient Services (OP):

Provided for approximately six months but is based on individual needs. Relapse prevention is emphasized as well as self-discovery. Outpatient services provide specialized groups to support recovery including family involvement, social skills training, and emotional regulation.

Treatment Approaches:

Treatment modalities include group, individual, and family sessions. Techniques include cognitive behavioral and motivational enhancement. Effective problem-solving and interpersonal connections are enhanced by skill building. Bolstering connections with support systems outside of treatment occurs consistently during treatment. Peer Mentors from other agencies are included in client care to help with this process.

Hours of Operation and Locations:

Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient services are provided Monday–Friday from 8:30am to 9pm. (Not all levels of care are available all hours.) Group sessions are conducted in the morning, afternoon, and evening to accommodate clients' scheduling needs.
