Written Re-Evaluation of the FEIS and ROD

FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION – NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF WRITTEN RE-EVALUATION OF 2008 FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT AND 2008 RECORD OF DECISION, AND NOTICE OF RECORD OF DECISION AND ORDER – FORT LAUDERDALE-HOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, BROWARD COUNTY, FL

The FAA has issued a written reevaluation of 2008 Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Development and Expansion of Runway 9R-27L and Associated Projects at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Broward County, Florida, and the 2008 FAA Record of Decision (ROD). 
 
This ROD and Order is issued for a written reevaluation of the 2008 FEIS and ROD because Broward County has submitted a request for approval of engineering and design refinements that are minor changes to the previously approved project.  This ROD and Order approves the engineering and design refinements to the previously approved project disclosed in the written reevaluation and as shown on a revised Airport Layout Plan (ALP). The revised ALP has been submitted to the FAA.  Subsequent to this ROD and Order, the FAA will approve the revised ALP.
