Pick-up and Drop-off Options

Pick-Up Locations

Passenger pick-ups are located on the lower level curbside of each terminal. When you leave the baggage claim area, follow the wayfinding signs for ground transportation options. Remember that the curbside on the Arrivals Level (Baggage Claim lower level) is solely for the active loading of vehicles, and parking is not allowed. Only approach the Arrival's curb when your party is outside waiting.

Here are a few options to avoid circling the airport:

1. You can park in the Cell Phone Waiting Area for free until your passenger(s) arrive and claim their luggage. After they arrive, have them call you, and then you can drive to the curb to pick them up. The Cell Phone Waiting Area is only a short drive from all four terminals, and there are flight display screens to monitor arriving flights.

Ground Transportation vehicles cannot stage or park in the Cell Phone Waiting Area, and if so, are subject to tickets and/or fines.

2. You can park in the garage for free for the first 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, you will be charged the standard fee.

Enforcement

The curbside areas at the terminal are designated for active loading and unloading purposes only. If you require more time to assist your passenger upon arrival, we suggest using the Cell Phone Waiting Area or parking in the garages. Unattended vehicles or vehicles parked in the curbside areas are subject to law enforcement tickets or fines. Parking on the roadway shoulders is strictly prohibited for the safety of all drivers. These areas are designated for emergencies only, and any unauthorized use may result in fines or penalties.

Drop-Off Options

If you plan to drop off passengers, follow the wayfinding signs to the terminals. Passengers can be dropped off at all terminals' curbside on the Departure (Upper) Level. If you need airline curbside check-in, please check your airline's availability.

Please note that leaving your vehicle unattended at the curb is strictly prohibited, and it will be towed. If you want to accompany passengers to the terminals, please use the parking garage. The first 20 minutes are free, after which you will be charged the normal fee.

Arrivals/Departures Level Maximum Weight Restrictions

Maximum Weight Limit (Less Than 17 Tons)

Signage is installed on all main roads leading into the airport to limit the weight of vehicles using the departure (upper) level roadway to less than 17 tons. As a result, large charter buses, commonly used by cruise passenger transfer operators, must use the lower level for passenger drop-off and pick-up.

Arrivals/Departures Level Maximum Height Clearance Restrictions

Maximum Height Limit (13 Feet)

There are height restrictions for vehicles in place while using the airport's terminal roadway arrivals and departures level. The vertical maximum clearance for the terminal roadway arrival and departure levels is thirteen feet (13 ft.)

Accompany Passengers to the Gate

Because of security measures, only ticketed passengers can go through the security checkpoint to a gate. Airlines may grant permission for a healthcare assistant or a guardian to accompany a passenger with special needs or a minor. See an airline representative at the ticket counter to obtain this special permission.

Parking Options

If you want to park and accompany passengers into a terminal, FLL offers three parking options steps away from the terminal. You can park in three garages or use Curbside Valet
