Broward County > Animal > Rescues > Become a Rescue Partner

Any organization interested in becoming a Rescue Partner should first read the Rescue Agreement (PDF). The Rescue Agreement contains all the policies and procedures that apply to the Broward County Animal Care Rescue Program.

All rescue partners must be contracted and approved to receive and care for selected pets from Broward County’s Adoption Centers. To become an approved Rescue Partner, an organization must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) organization
  • Have all appropriate licenses and registrations required by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations, and any other federal, state or local agencies
  • Have had no convictions of animal cruelty, neglect or abandonment
  • Complete and sign a Rescue Application (PDF)

Once the Rescue Application is approved, your organization will be eligible to participate in the program.

For more information about becoming a Rescue Partner, please contact our Rescue Coordinator at 954-765-4400, extension 9272.
