Henning Haupt is a painter, architect and design educator. His artistic work explores visual color spaces in regard to materials, application techniques and the three dimensional space.
Haupt moved to Fort Lauderdale in 2008 from Berlin, Germany to join the faculty of the School of Architecture at Florida Atlantic University as an Assistant Professor. Previous to that he taught at the Technical University at Braunschweig, Germany (2001-2007) and completed his praxis-based Ph.D. in the field of design methods on the relationship between color, painting and architectural design. Haupt’s postgraduate work includes architectural studies at the Academy of Arts, Michigan. He received a Diploma of Architecture from the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany and by working as a practitioner in Berlin he became a licensed Architect in 1998.
