 Creative Cultural Project

For Not-For-Profit Cultural ORGANIZATIONSArt & Culture Center of Hollywood

Purpose/Use:  To assist Broward County not-for-profit cultural organizations with annual operating revenues of $100,000 or less for small but complete cultural projects for which applicants have not received funding through any other Cultural Division incentive program. The project must be an exhibition, performance, or other arts activity. The cultural organization must have operated in its discipline(s) in Broward County for a minimum of one (1) uninterrupted year following incorporation, and provided services in Broward County for a minimum of six (6) months following the date of incorporation.

Matching Funds:  Not required. However, the applicant must submit a budget for the past year that demonstrates revenue in excess of the amount of the award requested.

Award Size:  On a funds available basis, the program will award up to $5,000 per project for not-for-profit cultural organizations. Funding may be used for reimbursable project expenses.

Note:  A not- for-profit organization may only be awarded one (1) project incentive award per fiscal year, but the total amount shall not exceed $5,000 in Creative Cultural Project funding during any County fiscal year, subject to the availability of County funds.

Individual Broward-Based Practicing Professional ARTISTS

Nilda Comas

Purpose/Use: An individual Broward-based practicing professional artist who is at least eighteen (18) years old or older, residing in Broward County that has lived continuously in Broward County for the immediate twelve (12) consecutive months prior to date of application. To assist with the creation of small, but complete, cultural projects for which applicants have not received grant monies through any other Broward Cultural Division incentive program. The individual artist project must occur in Broward County and must be an exhibition, or a live performance, or lecture/demonstration, or other arts activity that engages an audience.

Award Size: On a funds available basis, the program will award up to $2,000 per award. Funding may be used for reimbursable project expenses.

Note: Starting with any deadline an Individual Artist may apply for one (1) project incentive award per fiscal year and shall not receive in excess of $2,000 in Creative Investment Program funding during any County fiscal year, subject to the availability of County funds.
