Raised in New York City. Received BFA in Painting from Boston University studying at Tyler's Philadelphia and Rome Campuses. Returned to New York City after Graduate School to paint and teach at the City University of NY and other institutions in the metropolitan New York area. In 1984 moved to Miami to paint and teach, as artist in residence at the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged. Work was funded by a grant from the Florida Dept. of Cultural Affairs and the NEA.
