Purpose:
The Plantation Historical Museums’ new expansion doubles the size of the Museum and showcases our new Dinosaur and Florida Ice Age exhibits, along with an Art Gallery and Native American bronze sculptures.



Projects:
Showing permanent displays and exhibits with artifacts and photographs of early Plantation and South Florida in general, Seminole and Tequesta Indians, Plantation's First Fire Engine and related  memorabilia, Butterfly Garden; changing exhibits year round, including Winter Wonderland from December through mid January.Organized group tours by appointment. Hours: Regular hours Tuesday through Saturday, 9 to noon and 1 to 4. Closed Dec 24, 25, 26 and Dec 31 and Jan 1. Museum closed month of November and last two weeks of January. Program meetings September through April; call for dates and subjects.
