Purpose:
To play a leadership role in the arts ecology of South Florida by bringing the best of dance and dance education to the region. Through active investment in creating the next generation of dancers and audiences, and an active outreach program that engages every part of our community, Miami City Ballet intends to make South Florida a true cultural destination. At the same time, building and maintaining a world-class dance ensemble will allow Miami City Ballet to become South Florida's most vital export.

Projects:
As one of South Florida's premier cultural organizations, Miami City Ballet offers masterworks that appeal to patrons, strengthen their cultural aptitude, and expand the repertoire and access to outstanding dance. The season includes: 1) four repertory programs and George Balanchine's The Nutcracker™ in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties, 2) a two-program series and George Balanchine's The Nutcracker™ in Collier County (Naples). Miami City Ballet School provides year-round and summer intensive programs for young aspiring dancers, preparing them for professional dance careers with Miami City Ballet and other prestigious dance companies.  Both the company and school strive to make dance accessible to wider segments of the community with the family-friendly Ballet for Young People; the in-studio series, Open Barre: Behind the Curtain; and educational and outreach programs.  Through the Complimentary Ticket Program, thousands of tickets are donated to individuals assisted by local health and human services organizations, often acting as a first-time ballet experience.

Affiliates:
Miami City Ballet's membership levels include Friends of MCB (supporters at $50-$1,999) and Artist's Circle (supporters at the $2,000 and above) in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Peach counties. Members receive a range of exclusive benefits for their support, which provides crucial funding for the ballet's general operations.
