Port Everglades T-4 Solar Lamp Post Project
In partnership with Port Everglades, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one artist or artist team to design, fabricate and install site-specific artwork for attachment to eight (8) solar-powered concrete street lamps located at the entrance and periphery of the parking lot adjacent to Cruise Terminal 4 (T-4) at Port Everglades. The selected artist or artist team’s unique approach to the project is welcomed and the desired effect is an aesthetic impact that reinforces the notion that Port Everglades is a world-class seaport.

Port Everglades Entryway Project
In partnership with Port Everglades, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one or more artists or artist teams to design, fabricate and install site specific artwork for the North security checkpoint entry to Port Everglades and at specific locations along Eisenhower Boulevard. Port Everglades, at their discretion may expand the project scope of work to use some or all of the design and art concepts proposed for the Eisenhower Boulevard gate on other existing gates, specifically at Eller Drive and Spangler Boulevard gates, to achieve uniform of imagery at all entryways.

In conjunction with the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood’s summer exhibition The Art of Nathan Sawaya featuring In Pieces, Florida residents are invited to use their own LEGO® pieces to create and compete in this fun state-wide contest and exhibition. Pieces will be displayed in the Center’s gallery. Each participating group of entrants will be awarded prizes based on the following contest categories: ages 6–10; ages 11–15; ages 16 and up; teams/families. All entrants will receive two complimentary gallery passes to attend the Florida BRICK Creation Challenge exhibition (Aug. 5-10).

21st Century Solutions – NBCUniversal Foundation – Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties
The NBCUniversal Foundation is partnering with NBC South Florida to launch 21st Century Solutions, its third annual grant challenge for local non-profit organizations implementing new and innovative programs in Media Arts. The first place grant recipient will receive a $50,000 grant and two runners-up will each receive $25,000, totaling $100,000 in grants for South Florida.

Unified Auditions are a collective audition process where you can audition for multiple South Florida Theatre League Member Companies. These auditions allow actors to be seen by many small companies. For non-actors, a designer showcase may be added to the audition, depending on the level of interest. Participating companies include Broward Center, City Theatre, Down in Front Theatre Company, GableStage, Evening Star Productions and more. Michael Leeds will hold pre-audition workshops to help you deliver your best performance.

YoungArts Residency in Visual Arts — National YoungArts Foundation — Miami, FL
The National YoungArts Foundation, with the generous support of The Related Group, has established the YoungArts Residency in Visual Arts, the first of several residency programs in the visual, literary, design and performing arts the organization. The YoungArts Residency in Visual Arts, open to emerging and mid-career artists across the country, provides artists with time, space and resources; helps them forge key relationships; and gives them the chance to work in Miami and engage with its community. Artists participating in the program will receive an honorarium of up to $10,000, a stipend, three-12 weeks of housing and the opportunity to work with master artists and curators.

Design your own show for FAT Village Artwalk – World and Eye Arts Center – Fort Lauderdale
World and Eye Arts Center is offering an opportunity to design and hang work in the vibrant artist community in FAT Village during the artwalk on August 30th. For August only there is a discount on exhibition rentals making the rental price $400 for the entire space. So gather a group or have a solo show! USArtists International 2015 Grants — Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation
The 2015 USArtists International program provides support for American dance, music, and theater ensembles and solo artists from across the country who have been invited to perform at significant international festivals and, new this year, performing arts markets anywhere in the world outside the United States and its territories. Grants generally range from $1000–10,000. There are a total of three grant rounds.

Volunteers needed for Art Fallout 2014 — Girls’ Club — Fort Lauderdale
Each year starting in 2010, Girls’ Club has organized the community-wide art event Art Fallout to highlight the growing presence and production of contemporary art in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Girls’ Club connects with various art venues, artist studios, museums, galleries and alternative spaces to present a city-wide artwalk-style event. Volunteers are needed to spread awareness of the event, install and de-install artworks at different locations, document with photo and video, staff shuttle buses and help guide visitors to participating destinations.

Dissertation Fellowships in American Art — Henry Luce Foundation/ACLS
ACLS invites applications for the Henry Luce Foundation/ACLS Dissertation Fellowships in American Art designated for graduate students in any stage of PhD dissertation research or writing. Ten fellowships are available for a non-renewable, one-year term beginning between June and September 2015 for the 2015-16 academic year. The fellowships may be carried out in residence at the fellow's home institution, abroad, or at another appropriate site for the research. Although the topic may be historically and/or theoretically grounded, attention to the art object and/or image should be foremost. The fellowship includes a stipend of $25,000 plus up to $2000 in travel allowance.

Request for Proposals — Mapleton-Fall Creek Development Corporation (MFCDC) — Indianapolis, IN
Destination Fall Creek (DFC) is an initiative to transform the nearly four miles and 700 acres of land surrounding the portion of the Fall Creek waterway that runs through the Mid-North neighborhoods of Indianapolis. MFCDC seeks proposals from artists or artist teams who are interested in creating a permanent outdoor public artwork. The MFDC will commission a substantial piece of public art that incorporates creative placemaking principles. The budget for this artwork will be $136,000.

The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) and Naugatuck Valley Community College (NVCC) are currently seeking the qualifications of artists for an exterior work of art for NVCC in Waterbury, CT. Nelson Mandela Memorial Design Competition — Skyline Memorial Park — San Mateo, CA
The goal of the Nelson Mandela Memorial Design Competition is to elicit the most creative and exceptional designs for this significant public memorial project. We envision a memorial that will support the education and inspiration of our youth, initiating the kind of dialogue and activism that will ensure Nelson Mandela’s legacy continues to drive positive change. The Nelson Mandela Foundation will select the winning design. The winning design will be announced December 2014 and the designer will be awarded $1,000 USD in return for full ownership rights.

Artists are encouraged to apply to Paint the Beach – A Plein Air Festival in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, a non-juried painting competition and show. This festival is intended to bring the excitement and beauty of the plein air painting tradition to Ft. Myers Beach Florida. This non-juried event will run from November 3 until November 9. Artists may paint within specified areas from November 4-6. Possible scenes include beach views, historic buildings, beach businesses and marine subjects. There are over $2500 in cash awards to the Plein Air painters as well as various named and merit awards.

51st Annual Fine Arts Festival — Old Florida Celebration of the Arts — Cedar Key, FL
Established in 1964 and formerly known as the Cedar Key Sidewalk Arts Festival, this event was revived in 2005 - returning to a juried fine arts show. Since then the event's reputation has grown and the festival has become one of the most charming shows in Florida. 120 artists will be invited through the jury process.
