BCT Reduced Fare Photo I.D. Card
BCT offers a Reduced Fare Photo I.D. Card to make it easier for persons age 65 years and older and disabled persons to qualify for the reduced bus fare. Photographs for the Reduced Fare Photo Identification Card program are taken at the Broward Central Terminal, Broward Blvd. and Northwest 1st Ave., in downtown Fort Lauderdale Monday-Friday, fromĀ 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m) at the Customer Service Center. The Reduced Fare Photo I.D. Card will be required for BCT riders with a disability to receive a reduced fare.
Persons 65 years and older have the option of obtaining a reduced fare card or showing another acceptable form of identification with proof of age. To receive a Reduced Fare Photo I.D. Card, riders must prove eligibility according to these requirements:
- Disabled/Medicare Persons: Original letter from physician stating at least 50 percent permanent disability or a Medicare card.
- Senior Citizens: Driver's license or government-issued photo identification card showing proof of age. For more information call 954-357-8355.
