Great American Beach Party (Fort Lauderdale) Routes 11 and 40
Saturday, May 25,  7 a.m. to Sunday, May 26, 1 a.m.

Route 11 will detour as follows:
Eastbound:
Buses will travel east on Las Olas Boulevard to Las Olas Circle; north on Las Olas Circle to Cortez Street; east on Cortez Street to North Birch Road; north on North Birch Road to Bayshore Drive; east on Bayshore Drive to A1A; north on A1A and over the regular route..

Westbound: From Cortez Street buses will travel south on South Birch Street to Las Olas Blvd., west on Las Olas Blvd. and over regular route.

Route 40 will detour as follows:
Eastbound:
Buses will travel north on A1A to Las Olas Boulevard; west on Las Olas Boulevard to Las Olas Circle; north on Las Olas Circle to Cortez Street; east on Cortez Street to N. Birch Road; north on North Birch Road to Bayshore Drive; east on Bay Shore Drive to A1A; north on A1A and over the regular route.

Westbound: Buses will travel the reverse route.

Service Adjustments Effective Sunday, May 26 and Tuesday, May 28

Effective Sunday, May 26 -

Route 1 - Weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays

• Weekday service will be adjusted from every 15 to every 17 minutes during morning peak hours and middays; afternoon peak hours will be adjusted to approximately every 18 minutes
• Weekday service between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. will improve from every 30 to every 18 minutes
• Weekday northbound service from Aventura Mall will start at 5:17 a.m. instead of at 5:30 a.m.
• Southbound service will be extended at Hallandale Beach Boulevard to Aventura Mall on the last two weeknight and Saturday night trips
• Saturday and Sunday service will be adjusted from every 20 to every 22 minutes
• Service will improve from every 30 to every 22 minutes between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
• Saturday northbound service from Aventura Mall will depart at 5:19 a.m. instead of at 5:30 a.m.
• Sunday northbound service from Aventura Mall will be added at 6:20 a.m. and 6:42 a.m.; earlier southbound service from Broward Central Terminal will be added at 6:17 a.m.
• Time points have been eliminated at Sheridan Street and US 1 and at SE 17 Street and US 1.

Route 14 - Weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays

• Weekday off-peak service will be adjusted from every 30 to every 35 minutes
• Weekday evening service from Hillsboro Boulevard will operate every 45 minutes between 7 p.m. and 9:55 pm.; evening service from Broward Central Terminal will operate every 45 minutes between 7p.m. and 10:15 p.m.
• Saturday headways will be adjusted from every 40 to every 45 minutes; late evening headways will improve from every 60 to every 45 minutes
• Saturday last trip from Broward Central Terminal will depart at 10:15 p.m. instead of at 10 p.m.

Route 18 – Weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays

• Route 18 will temporarily end at Turtle Creek Drive and US 441. Northbound passengers will be issued a ‘free’ transfer to board the Shuttle route; southbound passengers will be issued a ‘free’ transfer to board route 18
• Weekday service will be adjusted from every 15 to approximately every 18 minutes; service between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. will improve from every 30 to every 15 minutes
• Saturday service will be adjusted from every 20 to every 25 minutes; evening service will improve from every 30/40 minutes to every 25 minutes
• Saturday northbound service from Golden Glades will depart earlier at 5:10 a.m. instead of at 5:35 a.m.
• Saturday northbound service from Lauderhill Mall will depart earlier at 5:30 a.m. instead of at 5:35 a.m.; last trip from Turtle Creek Drive will depart earlier at 10:45 p.m. instead of at 10:55 p.m.
• Sunday service will be adjusted from every 30 to every 35 minutes
• Last trips on Sunday from both Turtle Creek Drive and Golden Glades will depart at 9:45 p.m. instead of at 9:30 p.m.

Route 18 – Effective Tuesday, May 28, weekdays only
Route 18 passengers travelling northbound to Turtle Creek Drive from Golden Glades and southbound from Turtle Creek Drive to Golden Glades will be issued a ‘free’ transfer at the Lauderhill Mall to continue the trip.
Passengers affected by the following trips ending at Lauderhill Mall will be issued a ‘free’ transfer to continue the trip:

NORTHBOUND from Golden Glades ending at Lauderhill Mall:
• 8 p.m. at Lauderhill Mall:  Passengers will need to transfer to the 8:14 p.m. trip from Lauderhill Mall 
• 8:28 p.m. at Lauderhill Mall: Passengers will need to transfer to the 8:41 p.m. trip from Lauderhill Mall
• 8:55 p.m. at Lauderhill Mall: Passengers will need to transfer to the 9:10 p.m. trip from Lauderhill Mall
• 9:25 p.m. at Lauderhill Mall: Passengers will need to transfer to the 9:39 p.m. trip from Lauderhill Mall
• 9:53 p.m. at Lauderhill Mall: Passengers will need to transfer to the 10:06 p.m. trip from Lauderhill Mall 

SOUTHBOUND from Turtle Creek Drive ending at Lauderhill Mall:
• 8:09 p.m. at Lauderhill Mall: Passengers will need to transfer to the 8:27 p.m. trip from Lauderhill Mall 
• 8:41 p.m. at Lauderhill Mall: Passengers will need to transfer to the 8:56 p.m. trip from Lauderhill Mall  
Note: The trips listed above are the ONLY trips at Lauderhill Mall where passengers will be issued the ‘free’ transfer.

 

Effective Tuesday, May 28 –

Shuttle (Route 18) - Weekdays, Saturday

• Temporary Shuttle service will be added to route 18 between Turtle Creek Drive and Sandalfoot Cove Boulevard
• Shuttle will start at Turtle Creek Drive and US 441 (Hess Station), northbound and southbound
• Operates every 34 minutes on weekdays and every 44 minutes on Saturdays – There will be no Shuttle service on Sundays
• ‘Free’ transfers will be issued between route 18 and the shuttle
• Passengers boarding the Shuttle at bus stops between Turtle Creek Drive and Sandalfoot Cove Boulevard are required to pay the appropriate BCT fare

University Breeze – Weekdays

• Service will be adjusted from every 30 to every 35 minutes
• Last northbound trip departs Golden Glades at 8:10 a.m.; last evening trip departs at 6:35 p.m.
• Last southbound trip departs Westview Drive at 8:10 a.m.; last evening trip departs at 6:35 p.m.
• Number of time points will be reduced from 21 to 6 locations each way

95 Express Miramar – Weekdays

• Last three southbound morning trips will be adjusted to depart at 7:50 a.m., 8:10 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
• Reverse southbound evening trip at 7:12 p.m. will depart 10 minutes earlier
• Additional 7:32 p.m. southbound reverse trip will be added
• Additional 8:07 p.m. northbound trip will depart from NW 19 Street and NW 12 Avenue
• Northbound evening trip at 7:42 p.m. will depart 5 minutes earlier.

95 Express Pembroke Pines – Weekdays

• Additional 6:25 a.m. southbound trip will be added
• Last two morning trips will depart 10 minutes earlier at 8 a.m. and 8:35 a.m.


595 Express Sunrise/Miami Brickell – Weekdays

• Northbound afternoon route will detour due to Brickell area construction: After completing the Brickell loop, buses will use Brickell Avenue between Southeast 8 Street and Southeast 7 Street
• Last two trips departing Brickell Station will be adjusted to 6:12 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.


Rider Alert: Route 4 Northbound Detour

Due to construction, Route 4 northbound buses will detour until further notice as follows:

The bus will travel north on Northeast 12 Avenue to Northeast 9 Street/Atlantic Shores Boulevard; west on Northeast 9 Street/Atlantic Shores Boulevard to US 1; south on US 1 and continue over the regular route.


Rider Alert: 595 Express Sunrise to Miami/Brickell
Effective Friday, April 19, 2013, for a period of 10 months

Due to the Brickell Citi Centre construction project, S. Miami Avenue will be closed between Southeast 8 Street and Southeast 7 Street for a period of 10 months.

Effective Friday, April 19, 595 Express Sunrise to Miami/Brickell will detour as follows:

 

595 Express Brickell Detour MapMorning trips: After completion of service at the last bus stop at Southeast 8 Street and S. Miami Avenue, the bus will travel east on Southeast 8 Street to Brickell Avenue, north on Brickell Avenue to Southeast 7 Street, west to I-95 and continue over the regular route.

Afternoon trips: After completion of the Brickell loop at the last bus stop at Southeast 8 Street and S. Miami Avenue, the bus will travel east on Southeast 8 Street to Brickell Avenue, north on Brickell Avenue to Southeast 7 Street, continue west to S. Miami Avenue, turn north and continue over the regular route.

This detour WILL NOT affect any bus stops.

Route 62 westbound bus stop removed on McNab Road, just west of Federal Highway
Passengers will be required to board route 62 on McNab Rd at Southeast 7 Avenue, or, at 6200 N. Federal Highway, adjacent to the McDonald�s

Route 1 Southbound Detour Effective Friday, July 27
Airport Exit Ramp Under Construction

Effective Friday, July 27 and until further notice the US1 southbound exit ramp from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Int�l Airport will be closed due to construction.

Route 1 southbound buses exiting the airport will use the northbound exit, travel north on US1 to SE 30 Street, make a U-turn back to US1 south and continue over the
regular route.

The detour will add approximately five to ten minutes to the existing time it takes to leave the Airport, and will remain in effect for the duration of the construction project.

Route 1 northbound buses will not be affected by this detour and will continue using the regular route.

Route 22 Detour at NW 84 Avenue
Beginning Monday, July 23, 2012 until further notice

Due to construction, Northwest 84 Avenue is closed between Broward Boulevard and Southwest 3 Street.

Route 22 will detour as follows:

Eastbound from West Terminal:

Bus will travel east on Access Road to Northwest 84 Avenue; south on Northwest 84 Avenue to Broward Boulevard; east on Broward Boulevard to Westfield-Broward Mall Perimeter Road; south on Perimeter Road and continue over the regular route.

Westbound from Westfield-Broward Mall:

Bus will travel north on Perimeter Road to Broward Boulevard; west on Broward Boulevard to Northwest 84h Avenue; north on Northwest 84 Avenue to Access Road; west on Access Road and continue over the  regular route.

NOTE:  This route detour is subject to change without notice for traffic control by the City of Plantation Police Department.
