FY 2024 PROGRAM OF PROJECTS (POP)
Notice is hereby given that Broward County Transit's Program of Projects (POP) is now available for public review and comment. These projects were developed in accordance with the Federal Transit Administration POP requirements.
The Broward County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing for Broward County Transit's 2024-2028 Program of Projects (POP) where the public will have the opportunity to provide comments regarding these projects.

The proposed Program of Projects estimate of *$34,203,360 includes funding apportioned from the FTA 5307 (Urbanized Area) and FTA Section 5339 (Bus and Bus Facilities) Grants.
FTA Section 5307 (Urbanized Area) will fund Proposed Projects including:
Purchase of Buses, Support Vehicles, Capital Equipment Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Tire Leasing, Bus Stop Infrastructure Improvements, Facility Maintenance Improvements, Maintenance Shop Equipment, Maintenance/Replacement - Facility Surveillance Security (CCTV), Maintenance/Replacement - Vehicle Surveillance Security System, Transit Software and Hardware Maintenance, Transit Hardware and Software projects, Maintenance of Radio System, Contractual Project Management Services and Other Capital Related Items.
FTA Section 5339 (Bus and Bus Facilities) will fund Proposed Projects including:
Fixed Route Buses and Capital Equipment Maintenance
* Actual available grant funds are contingent on a final Federal Transportation appropriations bill for the next federal fiscal year. This program shows the plan for the estimated appropriation amount. If less funding is available, the project amounts for some or all projects will be reduced.
^ The required local match for capital funds is 20% and may be funded through Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Toll-Revenue Credits.
