Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is the key ingredient to the success of any organization.  It is the ability to perceive emotions and the ability to create a successful, satisfying life through appropriate management of emotions and expressions.  This course addresses personal responsibility for managing emotions and both verbal and non-verbal communication.  It emphasizes the importance of effective interactions with co-workers and customers and demonstrates a unique approach to understanding others.

Proofreading is not just for support staff anymore, especially in today’s changing environment of doing more with less.  Speed and efficiency count for a lot in the workplace – so does accuracy!  Your professional image, and the County’s, is at stake when you proofread your writing or a colleague’s.  This is NOT a course in endless drills; you will NOT spend hours reviewing fictitious passages looking for planted errors.
