​Aging in place ranks as the most desirable choice among Americans 45 years and older according to an AARP survey.  However, aging in one’s own home results in the dilemma of available transportation that is accessible, safe and affordable. The senior population is predicted to double in less than 30 years, according to a Stanford Center on Longevity Study, which establishes the need for drafting strategies.  The advantage of building more accessible and safe transportation will satisfy the majority of seniors’ lifestyle choices while also benefiting the community as a whole, emitting less toxins into the environment, and creating healthy physical activities.  More…
