Equestrian Day Camp Available During Winter Break

If you have a youngster between the ages of 9 to 16 who's looking for something to do this winter break, sign him or her up for Winter Break Equestrian Day Camp at Tradewinds Park & Stables, 3600 W.Sample Rd., in Coconut Creek. The camp is offered from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., December 23, 26, 27 and 30 and January 2 and 3. The fee is $75 per day and registration is ongoing at the park office daily from 9:30 to 5 p.m. For more information, call 954-357-8870.
Ryan White Care Act Reauthorizations Education/Engagement Sessions

Broward County would like your comments regarding the Reauthorization of the Ryan White Care Act. The first session is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, at 6 p.m. at Family Success Center (Carver Ranches) at 4733 S.W. 18 Street, Hollywood. A second session is scheduled for Thursday, December 19, at 6 p.m. at Hagen Park, 2020 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors. Once a sprawling military base with more than 200 buildings near what today is the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, the Naval Air Station Museum Fort Lauderdale is the only remaining building of Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale. The museum which is now owned by Broward County was a land-based facility used to train pilots and crewmen for torpedo-bomber airplanes during World War II.
