Sea Turtle Program Returns to Anne Kolb Nature Center

Don't miss the popular long-running summer program Sea Turtles and Their Babies at 8 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays, July 3 through August 30, at the Anne Kolb Nature Center at West Lake Park, 751 Sheridan St. in Hollywood. Participants view an hour-long video presentation and lecture and accompany a naturalist on a hatchling release to see what these tiny creatures face during their first curcial minutes of life. Broward County Parks and Recreation Division announced the schedule for Aquatics Season 2013, at the County’s four water parks: Castaway Island at T.Y. Park in Hollywood, Paradise Cove at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, Splash Adventure at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, and Tropical Splash at Central Broward Regional Park & Stadium, in Lauderhill. County to Hold Budget Workshops

The Broward County Commission is conducting a series of workshops to review priorities and make recommendations for the Fiscal Year 2014 budget. The workshops will be webcast live on broward.org/Video Central and will culminate with two public hearings.
