About the Gold Seal Quality Care Program
The Gold Seal Quality Program was established in 1996. Broward County has initiated the Gold Seal Quality Care Program to achieve excellence in quality child care throughout the County. This is a collaborative program between Broward County Child Care Licensing & Enforcement and the Department of Education. The Gold Seal Program was transferred from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to the Department of Education and took effect on July 1st, 2021. The Gold Seal Quality Care Program is not an accreditation, but a designation with potential benefits to those child care providers.
