Preparation is underway for the first of five County agencies to “Go-Live” with easyPay, the new time and attendance system, on Sunday, April 13. These five agencies, with a combined 680 employees, are Aviation, County Administration, Finance and Administrative Services (Administration and Payroll sections only) and Enterprise Technology Services. Being ready and resilient means taking action to address and mitigate the devastating impacts of a natural disaster during the planning, designing, locating and building communities. It means creating stronger communities that will be less impacted and, therefore, more economically stable in the aftermath of such events, and taking action, as necessary, that will protect, preserve and strengthen the resiliency of the community. All You Need to Know About the ADA

For anyone in Broward County tasked with recruiting and hiring staff and ensuring that their programs, facilities, activities or services are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended, help is on the way. Broward County’s (ADA) Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Professional Standards is offering its second free ADA Symposium on Friday, May 9, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Preregistration by Friday, April 25, is requested.

The symposium is designed for anyone working in a business or industry impacted by the ADA, including architects, advocates, attorneys, engineers, building code officials, contractors, ADA administrators and coordinators, human resource professionals and interior designers. More...
