hurricane Disaster Debris Management Sites​

Disaster Debris Management Sites (DDMS, formerly known as Hurricane Debris Sites) are authorized by Broward County in order for the owner/operator of the site to receive Public Assistance funds from FEMA. After a disaster has struck, the sites can be activated and used to temporarily store vegetative debris and/or construction and demolition debris.

Preparation Process

Broward County provides a Disaster Debris Management Sites preparation process​ for renewing or requesting new DDMS.​
