Robert McKinzie is a native of Fort Lauderdale. Mr. McKinzie graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bethune-Cookman University, in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Mr. McKinzie is a licensed General Contractor and has been in the construction business for over twenty years. He is very active in the community and serves on the Board of Directors for Central Broward Kiwanis, serves as President of the Associate Board of Trustees Bethune-Cookman University, President of Broward County Alumni Association of Bethune-Cookman University, a member of the Board of Directors of the Broward County Minority Builders, a member of Leadership Broward Class XI, past member of the Broward County School Board Consultants Review Committee, a Boys and Girls Club volunteer, and a Youth Mentor, to name a few.
