  4. 2011 Florida Association of Local Housing Finance Authorities (FL ALHFA) Educational Conference July 13 – 16, 2011 in Key West.

    MOTION TO APPROVE Staff and Board members to attend Florida Association of Local Housing Finance Authorities Conference in Key West from July 13-16, 2011.

  5. Leasing of HFA Office Building (Memorandum of Understanding between the Broward County Housing Finance and Community Development Division)
               
    MOTION TO APPROVE Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the HFA and Broward County Housing Finance and Community Development Division for approximately 8,646 square feet of office space located at 110 NE 3rd Street, Ft. Lauderdale and rental term of two (2) years, from September 16, 2012 to September 15, 2013, at a total gross rental of $233,442; authorize the Chair or Vice Chair to execute a MOU.

  6. Multifamily Projects Refinancing (Cross Keys Park Apartments; Bridgewater Place Apartments; and the Pointe at Banyan Trails Apartments)

    Cross Keys Park Apartments Project

    MOTION TO APPROVE Resolution of the Housing Finance Authority of Broward County, Florida (“HFA”) approving and authorizing an Amendment To Land Use Restriction Agreement in connection with its $16,970,000 Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds (Cross Keys Apartments Project), Series 1998A and 1998B; approving and authorizing the execution and delivery of certain other documents in connection with the foregoing; and providing an effective date.

    Bridgewater Place Apartments Project

    MOTION TO APPROVE Resolution of the Housing Finance Authority of   Broward County, Florida (“HFA”) approving and authorizing an Amendment to Land Use Restriction Agreement in connection with its $19,805,000 Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds (Bridgewater Place Project), Series 1999A and 1999B; approving and authorizing the execution and delivery of certain other documents in connection with the foregoing; and providing an effective date.

    The Pointe at Banyan Trails Apartments Project

    MOTION TO APPROVE Resolution of the Housing Finance Authority of Broward County, Florida (“HFA”) approving and authorizing an Amendment to Land Use Restriction Agreement in connection with its $17,675,000 Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds (the Pointe At Banyan Trails Apartments Project), Series 2000A and 2000B; approving and authorizing the execution and delivery of certain other documents in connection with the foregoing; and providing an effective date.


MOTION TO APPROVE the Consent Agenda for May 11, 2011

PRESENTATION

  1. Mr. Anthony Brunson of Sharpton, Brunson & Company, P. A. will present the 2010 Single Family and Multifamily Bond Audited Financial Statements (Results Financial Overview)

ACTION ITEM

  1. Properties for Sales (100 NE 3rd Street; adjacent to the HFA property and 202 NE 3rd Street)

    MOTION TO DISCUSS and to provide direction to Staff on the potential acquisition of   two lots; one (1) lot adjacent to the HFA 110 building and second lot west of 120 NE building for future housing and investment opportunities in the downtown area. If approved, direct Staff to conduct do diligence (i.e. appraisal); and authorize Staff to negotiate an agreement for the acquisition of one (1) lot or two (2) lots.
