Top Tips

  • If you are using a generator to provide power after a storm, be cautious with transporting and storing gasoline.
  • Don't siphon gasoline from a container by using your mouth. You could accidently ingest the fuel, causing damage to the esophagus or stomach. Gasoline fumes can damage your lungs.
  • To remove gasoline from a car, lawn mower or boat, use a siphon pump. Many home improvement and marine supply stores will sell hand pumps that can do the job.
