Call Hotline

You can call our Hotline at (954) 357-TIPS (8477), which will record your information. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call us with Caller ID blocked and provide sufficient detail regarding the allegations so that we can properly evaluate the information you provide.  Should you wish to be contacted, please provide your name and contact information so we can communicate with you, if needed.

Our walk-up hours are Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  To meet with an OIG staff member outside of our walk-up hours (we serve the public Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), please call (954) 357-7873 to schedule an appointment.

Confidentiality
Regardless of what method you use to report misconduct or gross mismanagement by an employee or agent of a government agency or independent contractor, your identity will remain confidential (even after the matter is closed) unless:  you have provided written consent to disclose your identity; disclosure is necessary to prevent a substantial and specific danger to the public's health, safety, or welfare or to prevent the imminent commission of a crime; or the disclosure is unavoidable and absolutely necessary during the course of the evaluation or investigation.  Section 112.3188, Florida Statutes; Section 10.01 B.(12), Broward County Charter.

*The OIG does not have jurisdiction over persons, companies, or organizations that are not officials, employees, or providers to Broward County's charter government or one of the county's 31 municipalities.  Its jurisdiction does not include the offices of the Clerk, Property Appraiser, Sheriff, Supervisor of Elections, Tax Collector, or independent districts such as Broward County Public Schools.
