4-H Camp Cloverleaf is an exciting event where 4-H'ers can experience nature and learn great life skills during a week of educational fun. Camp address is 126 Cloverleaf Rd., Lake Placid, FL 33852.

This year Broward County 4-H will take part in the annual residential summer camp in Lake Placid, running June 18-22. We will camp alongside 4-H’ers from Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Indian River, and Brevard counties. During this weeklong stay, participants will take part in a variety of activities such as team building, fishing, canoeing, swimming, campfires, singing, dancing, archery, and much more.

You don’t have to be a 4-H’er to benefit from a life-changing week of learning while playing. Campers must be between the ages of 8 and 11 as of September 1, 2011. The camp fee is $225 for 4-H members, $250 for nonmembers. This includes transportation, meals, and lodging. The registration deadline is June 5, although late registration will be accepted through June 12 with a late fee of $25. No registration will be accepted after June 12.

Please be sure to include all forms when dropping off your registration, including camper/counselor application, the Florida 4-H Participation Form, and applicable fee. Payment must be made by personal check, money order, or cashier’s check, made payable to the Broward County 4-H Foundation. NO CASH.

Youths ages 12 to 18 as of September 1, 2011, are eligible to apply for Camp Counselor positions. Counselors will be selected through an application and training process. All Camp Counselor applicants must complete all four sessions of the 4-H Camp training:

• Session 1 – Saturday, March 24, 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at the Broward County 4-H Office
• Session 2 – Friday, April 6, 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at the Broward County 4-H Office
• Session 3 – Friday, June 8, time TBA, at the Palm Beach County 4-H Office
• Session 4 – Saturday, June 9, time TBA, at the Palm Beach County 4-H Office

The registration fee for Camp Counselors will be $150. Applications must be completely filled out and submitted to the 4-H Office no later than March 22. All other registration information is the same as indicated above for campers.
