Fern Forest Nature Center and world-famous Butterfly World, both in Coconut Creek, will present a series of nature lectures, for all ages, in the park's Royal Fern Hall. Admission is free, although donations are welcome and encouraged. The program runs from noon to 2 p.m. and includes a question-and-answer session following the lecture.

Butterflies - The first lecture covers general information on butterflies and their value to humans. Topics highlighted will include anatomy and life cycle, reproduction and survival, and preservation. Presented by Butterfly World butterfly expert Jessica Morgan.

Birds - The birds found at Butterfly World will be the focus of this presentation, which will cover macaws, lorikeets, hummingbirds, and ground-feeding birds such as the button quail. The speaker is Butterfly World's bird and bug expert Adam Bowring.

Bugs - Butterfly World's Adam Bowring is also the presenter for this session. Specific topics will include scorpions, whip scorpions, spiders (including tarantulas), millipedes, Vietnamese centipedes, praying mantises, and cockroaches.
