Broward County Launches ePermits Portal!
Our Permit Processes are turning over a new leaf...
It's now easier than ever to do business with Broward County through the new e-Permits Website, a centralized source of online information on permits, licenses and approvals. Contractors, businesses, design professionals and residents can visit broward.org/epermits to identify their project type and obtain information on required permits.

ePermits features a database of more than 100 online environmental, building, engineering and water and wastewater services permit applications. The Development and Environmental Review Approval is the first ePermit option available that will go exclusively electronic as of January 2013. Planning for Climate Change
Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is an important component of Broward County's overall commitment to a healthy, sustainable environment.  Broward County is already committed to reducing GHG emissions from County operations to 7% below 1997 levels by the year 2015. To achieve that and other goals, a Climate Change Task Force, created by the Broward County Commission in 2008, has developed a countywide Climate Change Action Plan.  Broward County is also included in The Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact, a joint commitment of Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties to partner in reducing GHG emissions and addressing the regional and local impacts of a changing climate.
