Multifamily Recycling

If You Are a Property Manager in Broward County

As a property manager or owner, you may be able to reduce waste and associated disposal costs by implementing a recycling program. Savings are often realized through a reduction in service days and the use of smaller waste containers as recycling increases.

Many cities have agreements with haulers to provide solid waste and recycling services to apartment and condominium communities. Contact your city for the names of haulers authorized to provide recycling services.

Here are some tips to help you set up a recycling program. Broward County may also be able to provide assistance and educational tools to help you implement a program. Contact recycle@broward.org.

If You Live in a Multifamily Complex in Broward County

Residents of multifamily communities (condos, apartments) in Broward County are encouraged to recycle. Single-stream recycling makes that easy because you can put recyclable items together in the same container. There's no need to sort. If recycling isn't available where you live, watch our new multifamily recycling video, then talk to your property manager or HOA about getting a program started.
