Location
Conveniently situated between Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties in South Florida, Broward County's 1,211 square-mile stretch is home to over 1.6 million residents. The County offers 23 miles of Atlantic Coastline, an average temperature of 83° and a comfortable lifestyle.

Transportation to and from Broward is facilitated by means of a superb highway system, countless miles of waterways, an international airport, three local airports, and a world-class seaport.

Education
The nation's largest fully accredited school system with 128 elementary schools, 35 middle schools and 24 high schools educating students from 152 countries, speaking 52 languages.

Four career and technical centers and eleven colleges and universities serve Broward County; including: The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Broward Community College, Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, Nova Southeastern University, City College, Keiser College and American Intercontinental University.

Fifty programs in 41 magnet schools concentrate on specialized curricula like environmental and marine sciences, technology, international studies, communications and visual or performing arts.

Health Services
Close to 40 hospitals with over 6,500 beds and 3,500 doctors serve the medical needs of the community.

As one of the area's major employers, the health care industry enjoys a significant presence.

Broward County Convention Center
The 370,000-square-foot, three-story convention center contains 150,000 square feet of exhibit space, a 20,000-square-foot ballroom, 34,000 square feet of meeting rooms and 53,000 square feet of pre-function/registration space.

Visitors
Broward welcomed 10.7 million visitors, 2.22 million of which were international, in 2007.

Total visitor expenditures in the same period exceeded $8 billion. 

Broward's average year-round temperature is 76F and Broward logs 3,000 hours of sunshine.
