Melissa also sat on boards of the African American Performing Arts Community Theatre, The Foundation Group, and has consulted a variety of talented visual artists all while cultivating her own personal projects. She is currently re-launching her own website, volunteering with the Old Dillard Museum and will have her first essay published in December 2008 by Lantern Books. Melissa is a dedicated mother to one very beautiful and interesting 3 year old.
