Tin Ly
Public Art and Design Consultant


Tin Ly has worked as a visual artist in Broward County for the past twenty eight years. A recipient of many awards and fellowships from the Florida Arts Council and South Florida Cultural Consortium, he joined the Cultural Division in September, 1999, as a consultant for the conservation program of the County’s Public Art Collection. Ly has conserved artworks for Charles Saatchi, Martin Margulies and Ludwig Museum of Koln, Germany, among others. He was a presenter at “Conservation and Maintenance of Contemporary Public Art”, a conference organized by the Cambridge Arts Council in 2001; “Material Meaning: Process, Product and Preservation in Public Art” at the American for the Arts Public Art Pre-conference in 2006; and at the 21st International Sculpture Conference, Sculpture in Public: Part 2, Pubic Art, in 2008.

As an artist, he had completed an outdoor mural for the Homeless Assistance Center in Fort Lauderdale, and maintains a studio in the 3rd Avenue Art District of downtown Fort Lauderdale.
