The Broward County Office of Economic Development and the Broward County Small Business Development Advisory Board are hosting a public meeting to discuss Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firm availability and participation in Broward County aviation and transit projects funded by the United States Department of Transportation. The meeting is intended to gather information about the availability of DBE and non-DBE firms in our market area, to obtain information about the effects, if any, of discrimination on opportunities for DBE firms, and to provide a level-playing field for DBE firms. Note: 2014-2016 DBE goals have not yet been set and methodologies for the 2014-2016 DBE goals have not been formulated.

Team Florida Mission to Chile

Gov. Rick Scott and Enterprise Florida invite Florida businesses to participate in a TEAM Florida trade mission to Santiago, Chile. The mission will feature a business matchmaking program. Fees apply to participate in this mission. Grants covering 100% of registration fees are available through an initiative with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Gold Key Registration ends March 25, 2013; Delegate registration ends April 10, 2013. Space is limited to 20 Florida companies - first come, first served.
