BEFORE THE STORM

• Bring all portable outdoor plants indoors.
• Open the drainage ditches to help remove flood waters.
• Remove all branches that rest on roofs.

AFTER THE STORM

• Set up container plants and straighten up field-grown plants.
• Remove plants from standing water.
• Wash salt from foliage.
• Leach (rinse) soil with fresh water.
• Prune or discard severely damaged plants.
