The program features a one-hour slide presentation and lecture covering the following topics:
- Species of sea turtles found in South Florida
- Habitat
- Breeding and nesting
- Identification of crawls and nests
- Conservation efforts
- Past exploitation
- Current management
- Problems now facing sea turtles
Immediately after the slide presentation and lecture, there will be a release of hatchlings. Admission is $5/person. Each week’s program is limited to 50 people. Bring quarters for parking meters at release sites.
Sea Turtle program is subject to change or cancellation if weather conditions are not favorable. Contact the park office.
