Castaway Island at T.Y. Park


Details:

  • Two water playgrounds (one geared toward very young children)
  • Six waterslides
  • Zero-entry swimming pool with waterfall

Boat Rentals* – Weekends and Holidays Only

Castaway Island and the pool11 a.m.- 4 p.m. (last rental leaves at 4 p.m. and must return by 5 p.m.)

Boat Rates

  • Kayaks/Canoes -$15 per hour per boat.  2 hours = $20, 1/2 day = $30 and full day $50
  • Paddle Boats/ Jon Boats  - $10 per half hour. One hour = $15, 2 Hours = $20, 1/2 day = $30 and full day is $50.

*Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the boat. Waiver must be completed prior to boarding boat.


Fees:

All ages - lagoon (all day) and one session

$6.50 per person

Each additional Castaway Island session

$4.50 per person

Lagoon only

$4.50 per person

Eight 20-foot Funbrellas (each one can shelter parties of up to 30 people) are available by reservation.

  • Weekday Rental $35 per day
  • Weekend/Holiday Rental $75 per day

Directions:

Head west on Sheridan Street.  Go north (right) on North Park Road.  The park's entrance will be on the right (east) side.

Rules:

  • Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older at all times
  • Children five years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older at all times while in the water park 
  • Proper swimming attire required, no jean shorts, cutoffs, plastic, or metal accessories allowed on clothing
  • Diaper changing permitted in restrooms only
  • Waterproof diapers required
  • Patrons with wounds, open sores, skin infections will be excluded from water activities
  • Park staff and lifeguard instructions must be followed
  • Coast Guard-approved life vests allowed in the water playgrounds and Crazy Creek only
  • Shower before entering any water areas
  • Water activities at patron's own risk

Prohibited Activities

  • Climbing or swinging on pipes, handrails, or ropes
  • Sliding head first on slides (Feet first only)
  • Running or "dangerous behavior"
  • Floats or water toys and equipment
  • Food or drink in water areas
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Glass
  • Animals or pets
  • Chewing gum
  • Masks, fins, or snorkels
  • Smoking
  • Throwing objects
Coast Guard--approved life vests are available free upon request.  Management reserves the right to refuse service or expel any patron with just cause.

 


Camps or Groups:

One counselor is required for every 10 children and will be admitted at no charge for preregistered camps. All groups must have advance registration to guarantee admission.  Contact the park office at 954-985-1980 or TYPark@broward.org.
