

Woodmont Natural Area
Size: 21.1 acres
Habitat: Pine flatwoods and cypress stand.
Vegetation: South Florida slash pines and wetland of cypress and red maples. Understory of fern, beautyberry, fire bush, wild coffee, and wild lime.
Wildlife: Several species of hawks, various wood warblers, owls, woodpeckers, and wading birds. Great place to see warblers and great crested flycatchers in spring and fall.
Amenities: Concrete walkway, 2154 foot elevated boardwalk, nature trails, interpretative signage, and benches.
