Frequently Asked Questions

Going to the Airport?

Take BCT Route 1 to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL) Airport. Route 1 travels along Federal Highway to FLL. Route 1 bus stop is located at the Rental Car Center (RCC), bus-way, departure upper-level. Our fare boxes do not give change. From Terminal 2, 3 or 4, take the airport shuttle bus to the RCC. When exiting the shuttle bus stop at the RCC, turn right and walk to the end of the building to BCT Route 1 bus stop. From Terminal 1, access the moving sidewalk into the RCC. Once inside the RCC, go to Level 3, then outside the building to the curb and to BCT Route 1 bus stop. Service is available 7 days a week including holidays.

Community Shuttle Service

Our community shuttle service operates in partnership with 18 Broward County municipalities. It serves residential areas and provides local circulation to passengers traveling short distances. It also provides “first-mile” and “last‐mile” connections to BCT fixed routes. All community shuttles are wheelchair accessible and equipped with bike racks.

Paratransit

Paratransit (TOPS) service is for persons qualified under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. The service is for persons with physical, cognitive, emotional, visual, or other disabilities which functionally prevent them from using the BCT fixed-route bus system permanently, temporarily or under certain conditions.
