The Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) Self-Sufficiency Case Management Program assists low-income individuals and families towards achieving various goals, learning skills, and accessing services needed to remove barriers and to help customers become self-sufficient. ​

The CSBG Self-Sufficiency Case Management Program includes

  1. Education Assistance: Tuition, Books & Supplies
  2. Temporary Childcare Assistance
  3. Employment Assistance
For Temporary Childcare Assistance:

Individual(s) must be working a minimum of 20 hours or attend school full time. Those seeking Childcare Assistance will need be highly motivated to obtain better employment, apply to Early Learning Coalition/Head Start and complete budgeting or financial management classes.

For Employment Assistance:

​Individuals must be highly motivated and willing to accept reasonable job offers, respond to job leads and register with EmployFlorida (CareerSource Broward).

For Tuition Assistance:

Individual(s) must be enrolled in an accredited institution and not eligible for Federal Aid or other financial assistance.

Please note that application/document submission does not guarantee eligibility. Proof of the household income and other documents must be received with your application.

  1. The screening process and document review could take up to 30 days and will require supervisor approval.

  2. Failure to include all required documentation with your application will result in unavoidable delays and possible denial of your application.

*Broward County submits payments directly to the vendor.
