Ms. Colleen LaPlant is a veteran legal administrator with more than 30 years serving as Government Law Team Administrator with the law firm Becker & Poliakoff. As Practice Group Administrator, she coordinates and executes the team’s client service teams in specialty areas including city, local, state, and federal government, including land use, procurement, and entitlements . She is the go-to administrator supporting other practices areas within the law firm. Her duties include supervising staff, communicating directly with clients, strategic planning, organizing internal and external client events, and regularly interacting with city, county, state, and federal government officials.

Ms. LaPlant is also a dedicated community leader. Her current leadership positions include Vice Chair of the City of Coconut Creek's Planning & Zoning Board, Member of the Broward MPO and Broward County (Partners) Oversight Committee for the Broward Regional Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (BSAP) and Member of the Women's Club of Coconut Creek. She is also a past Member of the City of Coconut Creek Environmental Committee, past Board Member of Animal Care Advisory Committee of Broward County and past Board Member of the School Board of Broward Parent Community Involvement Committee. She also was previously involved in a number of charitable organizations including volunteering for Women in Distress, Boys & Girls Club, Team Recognition Chair for American Cancer Relay for Life, and is a past Board Member for Brookwood Florida, a home for underprivileged girls.​​
