Broward County joined forces with Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County, Inc. for an educational outreach campaign to put an end to babies dying due to unsafe sleep environments.

In October 2011, public service announcements on Broward County Transit buses urged parents and caretakers to “Put Babies on Their Backs to Sleep ” with no toys, pillow or loose blankets. The message was also part of a campaign on broward.org, and broadcast during County Commission meetings.
