Broward County Stadium in Central Broward Park is one of three United States sites to host the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2024. This is the first time the World Cup will be held in the United States. The ICC T20 World Cup will consist of 55 matches, with 16 played in the U.S., and four at Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill:
- Tuesday, June 11: Sri Lanka vs. Nepal, match starts at 7:30PM
-
Friday, June 14: USA vs. Ireland, match starts at 10:30AM
-
Saturday, June 15: India vs. Canada; match starts at 10:30AM
-
Sunday, June 16: Pakistan vs. Ireland; match starts at 10:30AM
There are more than 2.5 billion people who follow cricket from around the world and international matches are not new at Broward County Stadium, which was the first ICC-sanctioned stadium in the U.S.
More than 20 teams will compete in the World Cup and be divided into four groups of five each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next round, much like what is done in soccer.
The other two U.S. sites to host this year's tournament will be in Eisenhower Park in Nassau County, New York and at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
Some tickets are still available to the general public for the Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Specific to Broward County Stadium, additional tickets can be purchased for the United States vs. Ireland match on June 14 at tickets.t20worldcup.com.
