Mountain Bike Trails Rules and Regulations

All riders are required to watch a safety warning video in the park office, made aware of the inherent risks and dangers associated with the activities conducted on the Mountain Bike Trails, and realize the possibility of severe physical and/or mental trauma, injury, or death that may result from participation in such activities, and follow the rules and regulations below.

1. All adult patrons must review and sign a separate Release, Assumption of Risk, Indemnity, and Waiver of Liability form, valid only for the date specified on the form and must be signed prior to utilizing the Mountain Bike Trails. 

2. Upon entering the trails, riders must display a current Mountain Bike Trails access card. Annual and one-day access passed may be purchased at the park office, which is open daily from 9AM to 5:30PM. Mountain bike trails close at sunset.

3. A helmet, gloves, and closed-toe shoes are required at all times when biking on the Mountain Bike Trails. Full-face helmets and pads are recommended.

4. Ensure the you ride under control and choose trails well within your ability level:
a. Beginner: Marked with a green circle.
b. Intermediate: Marketing with a blue square.
c. Expert: Marked with a black diamond.
d. Pro/Expert: Marked with a double (two) red diamonds.​

5. Riders must obey all posted trails and caution signs. Riding outside of marked trails is prohibited.

6. No alteration of any trail or terrain is permitted.

7. Only Mountain bikes are permitted on the Mountain Bike Trails. Class I eMTB pedal-assist bikes are permitted. Class II and Class III eBikes, Hybrids, non-specific mountain bikes, bike trailers, tag-alongs, and child seats are prohibited on the Mountain Bike Trails.

8. The Mountain Bike Trails are for bike riding only: no pedestrians, pets, horses, motorized bikes, surrons, or ATVs are permitted.

9. Slower riders must yield to faster riders when asked. Faster riders are encouraged to ask slower riders for the right of way.

10. Illegal entry/use of trails outside of park or facility operating hours is trespassing and strictly prohibited. Violations will be reported to the local police department.

11. Trailhead gates are located at sunset. All riders must exit trailhead gate before sunset, or they will be locked inside. 

12. Notify park management of unsafe situations and conditions needing attention on the trails.

13. Report all observed injuries​ to park management in the main office immediately.

14. The park employs a Lightning Prediction System, which will sound a 15-second horn blast and a flashing strobe, alerting that a storm is imminent. Once the alarm has sounded and strobes begin flashing, outdoor activity must be suspended, and shelter should be sought immediately, either in a large building or an enclosed vehicle. Outdoor activity may be resumed only after three (3) 5-second horn blasts have sounded, indicating the storm has moved out of the area. If you remain outdoors after the warning alarm is issued, please be advised that you do so at your own risk! In the event of the lightning prediction system sounds, all riders must exit trails when the lightning prediction system warning horns sound. Riders may not reenter the trails until the all-clear signal (three short blasts) is heard.

15. No littering: pack it in and out.
