It's Turtle Time 2023!

The turtles of Broward County can be just as magical as the ones from this summer’s blockbusters, although they don’t talk like they do in the movies. 

Experience a live and breathtaking turtle phenomenon at the Sea Turtles and Their Babies program at Anne Kolb Nature Center. Event participants will meet at the park for a presentation about sea turtles, then visit a nearby beach to see baby sea turtles released into the ocean. 

The program runs on Wednesdays and Fridays, 8-9:30PM, from July 5 through August 30, 2023. This program requires advance registration and is known for selling out quickly, as it has this year. It is already SOLD OUT. ​

Call 954-357-5161 to check availability and reserve your spot, or make reservations online. The program is for all ages, although those under 18 must attend with an adult. The fee is $10/person. Suggested for ages 6 and older. Parking at the release site is metered.

Don't forget you can also visit the Marine Environmental Education Center​ (MEEC) at Carpenter House to learn about sea turtles. The MEEC is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM.
