One With Nature
You don't have to travel to exotic places to discover nature — countless opportunities for exploration are available in the familiar territory of your nearby Broward County regional parks, nature centers, and natural areas.
Our staff of naturalists invites you to participate year round in such programs as nature hikes, natural area tours, educational classes, environmental workdays, and other special programs and events. There's something for everyone, from children to adults and senior citizens. Some events are held in partnership with community-based groups and environmental agencies. Volunteer opportunities are also available.
Find your own paradise. If the nature activity you seek is not listed among the programs and events scheduled, please feel free to contact any park or nature center or email us below. Our naturalists are always looking for ways to educate groups about the importance and the wonders of our environment.
Be sure to visit or schedule a field trip to any of our nature centers:
Or discover nature at its most basic at one of the 13 of our 21 natural areas that are currently open for public access:
Nature trails are also available at several of our regional parks:
You can explore the Everglades by airboat at our westernmost park, where you can also launch your own boat or rent one from the park's concessionaire:
