Broward County's Office of Public Communications is responsible for external and internal communications for Broward County Government to residents, employees, businesses, visitors and media to raise awareness of County programs and services and their value to the community. We have three specialty areas that include Public Information, Call Center and Print Shop.​​​​

​Public Information 

  • Responsible for official Broward County Government w​ebsite - Broward.org - including web design and content management
  • Manages and monitors Broward County Government official social media pages - X, Facebook and Instagram
  • Serves as a liaison to the media
  • Creates and disseminates news​ releases containing news about County events and activities
  • Responsible for media relations and public safety information during activations of the Emergency Operations Center
  • Provide film, webcast and broadcast services for County government meetings
  • Plans and implements Countywide marketing, communications and outreach efforts
  • Acts as a communications resource to other County departments
  • Supports Board of County Commissioners and Department special projects and events
  • Produces a variety of digital newsletters and printed publications
  • Writes and designs flyers, brochures, booklets and signage
  • Manages employee communications to more than 6,500 County employees
  • Oversees Public Records Requests​

Call Cen​ter - 311

The Call Center is a multi-lingual, one-stop shop for information on Broward County government services. Customer service representatives assist callers with information on any County service to ensure easy access to County government. The Call Center is open Monday - Friday from 8:30AM to 5PM and during emergency conditions is open 24/7. Contact the Call Center at 9​54-831-4000, by dialing 311 on your smartphone. Residents can also report and track service requests to the County by downloading the free MyBroward app or accessing the system online through MyBroward.Broward.org​. If you are experiencing homelessness, please call 954-563-4357 to initiate assessment for homeless services. The Homeless Helpline is available Monday - Friday from 8AM to 5PM. It is closed on weekends. 

Print​ Shop

The Print Shop provides high-quality printing services to meet the needs of County agencies as well as external customers in a timely and cost-effective manner. More information on Print Shop services is ​available online or call 954-357-7120.
